"The wind of heaven is that which blows between a horse's ears" -Arabian proverb
I actually started this fellow way back in February of this year after so many folks thought my "The Black II" was the Black Stallion of book and movie fame (nothing wrong with that!:) So that made me think I wanted to really do my own interpretation of the Black Stallion. I actually liked the Return of the Black Stallion with all the associated neat arab tack:) so that image stuck in my head. Well the poor fellow sat around for many months/I had a lot of design work and had moved on to other projects. Again work got really busy this summer so I haven't been doing much "art" so I dug the poor fellow out of hiding and decided to polish him off:) So here he is for better or worse.
So this dedicated to all the Arab fans out there! I hope you like him!
Production Notes: Mil Horse posed and morphed in Poser 5, exported to Bryce 5, texture mapped using Moonrose's Equine Textures and rendered there. All the tack is Photoshop CS postwork using a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet (that was a fun challenge!) Mane is primarily Ravenheart's Heavenly Hair products with some postwork in PS also.

A very striking arab! I love the large expressive eye, very true to the breed. The only thing I can see is that the ears should be more defined. Arabs have the most sculpted ears, almost as expressive and beautiful as their eyes.

Your horses are always so beautiful but the thing that is most impressive is the way you combine the 3d horse with the 2d painting and make it come together and look all of a piece.
