Description

Level of sneaking around required for this shot: MEDIUM-LOW One of my neighbors has a small dahlia garden out near the road. I was very careful to NOT step in the dirt, because it was carefully raked and there was nary a footie-print to be seen anywhere! I think my neighbor might be a little bit on the fussy side about the dahlia garden. So I stretched and bent and crouched, but I was an absolute angel about keeping my feet out of his dahlia bed, and I DIDN'T TOUCH ANYTHING! I don't know if they saw me or not - nobody came out of the house, and I didn't see any draperies pulled to one side with little faces peeking out.

Very nicely done. Good view with double the bloom. :-) I saw some lovely dahlias at my nursery today and almost bought some but I'm not sure I know how to care for them.

When I saw this gorgeous specimen I went on the Internet to see if I could identify it, but that effort came to a rather frustrating halt when I found that one of the dahlia dealers featured offered over 350 varieties of dahlia, which means a considerable number to track down, that I didn't have the patience to go through. Anyway, a marvelous POV with obviously lovely colors and textures. Nature wins hands down. No human hand could ever achieve this effect with a spray can.
