Description

Another attempt at a Japanese flavored fractal using UF. The "faux" keyboard ribbon thing was created using Kerry Mitchell's incredibly flexible Rose Range Lite .ucl. Can I ask you guys something? If you were thinking of leaving a comment here anyway... could you also let me know what screen resolution you are using? I've only got a 17" monitor and my resolution is 960x762 (cuz I can't read text using anything larger) so this image is too big to view without scrolling. No doubt most of you have larger monitors and use a higher rez... I'd just like to know so that I can size my final images in a way that ya'll don't have to scroll all over the place. Thanks very much! Thank you all, as well, for your gracious comments and favs on "Wedding Ribbons~Redux". Got a note from Renderosity that it made the Art Charts this week... scared me, actually... lol! And thanks for taking the time to have a peek at this one! Hugs! Helen :)

Hi Helen, My monitor is 21" set to 1600 x 1200. It takes your picture plus the title. I note the zoom keeps the picture at the same size so offers no real benefit apart from possibly slightly greater sharpness. I too might well take another peep at Kerry's formula.

it's very lovely, tender, original... perfect. I see it with resolution 1280x1024 with 17" and I have to scroll about 1/3 of the picture but the resolution of the image is perfect.

First of all my congrats with this splendid work in real ukiyo-e woodcut colors. I'm also amazed about the realisation of the waving keyboard, using Rose Range Lite. The resolution of my screen is 1024 x 768, one a 18" one. (My eyes don't allow a higher resolution in reading texts, I think that's the same problem as yours.) It's indeed a pity that in this way there must been scrolled, but it's not really a big objection.

as a musician i like this very much. i never had the heart to tempt a musical theme in my images (maybe cause these are two very different things for me), but you did well here. just a fine tune of japanese sound... by the way, i use a 19'' tube-monitor with 1280x1024 px. your image just fits tight here without scrolling.

The Mikado...the thought of it gives me a knot in my stomach, thanks to a horrendous high school music teacher. Your "Ode" however, is anything but horrendous. Reminds me of the old Victrolas...with the horn where the music came out...but in this case, your beautiful fractal art emerges. Keeping with that subtelty, the keyboard is a nice touch. BTW, I use 1024 X 768 on a 19" monitor, and don't mind some scrolling...good for the hand muscles ;-)

I would say unbelievable, but I am a sure believer in you! Amazing work and, like the rest, am so in awe of the keyboard! Beautiful composition! I have a little 17" monitor and the resolution is at 1024 X 768. I am astounded to read that RoseMoxon has not one, but TWO 30" monitors! How fabulous would that be....just to have ONE!!

I have to scroll quite a bit and I have a 19" flatscreen monitor using 1024x768 on the resolution and IE (which can change the displays all over the place). I will tell you, the size of the image, sure doesn't spoil the beauty of what you have created. The floral and keyboards are a perfect mix. Excellent work. Bunny

This is outstanding. I'm extremely impressed! I have a 19 inch monitor with 1024X768 resolution. I can see about 2/3 of the image and have to scroll down to see the rest, but I don't mind. I always enjoy your creations and can't wait to see what you do next.

I knew I needed to update my screen, how marvellous to see all these beautiful pictures on a 30inch monitor. I only have a 17in screen and I think 1024x768. This is a super fractal beautifully done with that keyboard nice and wavy.

17" monitor, 1024x768, and I agree that if you make the images smaller, then we lose the detail! So don't fix it, it ain't broke, LOL! A beautiful, beautiful work!!

1280 across x 760 high. I always gotta scroll. I would rather do that and see the details than see tiny pics. This is amazing work. That piano looks hard to play tho. :)

Wonderful composition, coloring and shapes, Helen. Truly a piece of ART, imho. I run my rig at 1024x768. I think that, even these days, that is the most common screen resolution. Much larger than that is overkill for CRT monitors and LCD ones have a "native resolution" that (I think) does weird things if you have anything sized differently. Works out good when I upload at around 650 to 700 pixels high because the whole image fits perfectly under the IE and Google toolbars along the top of my screen... saves time, too, because the renders don't have to be so large and you don't have to compress the jpeg to meet the file size limits.

19"---1280x1024--your images always look very very fine--details are very very clear--and there is always excellent depth --part of what makes your images so compelling---LOVE the keyboard!! Another amazing work, Helen!!

19" with 1024x768. I think that most people don't mind scrolling up/down but have a bit of a problem if they have to go left/right (or both). Love the coloring on the flowers!
