Description

For a period of time between 1965 to 1968 both these trainers were in use by air forces. The biplane is a Bucker Jungmann first flown in 1934 used primaraly by the Luftwaffe, this example was retired from Spanish air force service in 1968. The jet is a HS 125 miltary variant called the Dominie in Royal Air Force service used for teaching navigation, it has now been in use for 42 years and my contacts tell me it should be retired soon because it is getting worn out. The Jungmann will still be in use flying for fun long after the 125 has been scrapped because it is subject to less stress.

I'll take the Jungmann every time. When we had an airforce near us, we had HS125's hammering around all day and night, every day and every night. Boy, was I glad to see the back of those when they finally sold the airfield to a private company. Now we have holiday jets hammering around all day and night!!! Like you say, what goes around comes around!
