Description
These are brown boobies, and this was taken on an island off the coast of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It's quite a place; there's a huge cave that people say was used for pirate burials. Pretty spooky, not somewhere I'd like to be at night!! But then you climb and end up on a plateau, and there are these brown boobies all over the place. So few people go to the island, they let you walk right up to them. I was about 5 feet away from these two when I took this picture.

That baby is darling. I love baby birds...they are so gangly and (when very young) so ugly. They really are adorable they are so odd looking. Great shot.
