Description

This simple little scene was done in Vue6I. If you look through my gallery you'll notice there's hardly anything "Poser" in my images. For some reason, I've never made friends with that application. But, I'm trying...lol Thanks very much for looking! :)

Good image, original POV and setup. If I may, I would like to point out a few things that maybe could improve the image further, IMVHO. Please take it just as simple suggestions. :-) a) there's a pattern visible in the grass which seems a bit unnatural b) the scale of the grass/moss material in the left wall seems a bit too big c) the scale of the leaves on the background seems a bit too big as well. Just another note from my personal experience: I noticed you used Ben. I have very bad experiences using this character in Vue. I found it too "heavy", much more than M3 or V4, making Vue really sluggish. I found the millenium kids or apollo scaled as a kid much, much lighter for Vue. If you found a way to use Ben in an efficient way in Vue, I would love to hear about it! :-)

I've never made friends with Poser either but sometimes you just have to treat it as a necessary evil. Nice image by the way :-)

I really like the atmosphere (both physically and in mood) you have created in this image. The soft almost misty light creates a good sense of seperation.!

Yeah,Poser for me is lame as well, but it does good with Vue.This is a rocking image, full of detail and kinda tells a story as well I think.

Great image - not too sure about the postwork painterly effect, but the mood is excellent.

Masterful scene! Bravo! It's not about the application - it's about the ART! Indeed, this is why I post to Mixed Media! ;)

I've never had problems with Poser + Vue, just lucky I guess, or I find a work around.. I like this scene, it says to me, enjoy your childhood, for it will soon be gone. Good light placement to evoke the mood, I also like you use of materials & painted effect for the background.

Very good use of lighting to achieve perspective - the haze in the sunlight etc...
