Description
After dinner I convinced my students to find a vantage point to see and photograph the passing thunderstorm. This monstrosity of a bolt caught us all by surprise. It was so quick and near that it froze every drop of rain in the sky. Without a doubt this was one of the most moving and frightening experiences in my life. Thankfully we all survived the shock and now have a picture to go with the story. Hope you enjoy it!

Awesome! I think it is so fantastic to catch a lightning bolt. However, I'm sure you were a bit traumatized by it! :o) Hopefully not for long.
