Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Mood or food, hmmm. I may have to have a rita (with salt please) and think about this. A refreshing photo to look upon while I ponder the ?? ;-)

The world's absolute best, hands down winner margarita, IMHO, is made with Heradura Anejo tequila, Cointreau, and Rose's Lime. I go 2 to 1 to 1, on the rocks with no salt. You can enjoy endless experimentation to get it just right for your taste. There's this little restaurant, called the Buen Tiempo, in a town called Ouray in Colorado, which is about 7700 feet high in the San Juan range of the Rockies, where they serve this as a "Primera" for about $9. You'll find locals here, but chances are the folks at the next table flew into Montrose from another country and drove the rental car 45 miles to get here. Pure "atmosphere/mood"!

I stopped for this because you got such a rich looking glass and it's backed by grasses that make it seem almost like a ceremonial candle in an old country church! A really creative shot because you captured many personalities to this glass, to me it could be many things...I even like the thing the glass is sitting on, with its texture and green splotches. I drink very little, but this makes me want to drink margaritas. (I've had them and they're delicious; trouble is, one margarita and I start speaking in tongues and fall asleep under the table.) (That's under, not 'on'. Don't ask. It'll all be in my book...) I love this shot!
