Description

The more I ponder the 2D theme, Borders and Boundaries, the more I find. Seems that we humans are so afraid.. We have to divide the world in "us" and "them" on so many differnt planes, even inside ourselves Me and my shadow. Not even God is one. It starts before we are born, and goes on and on. I cannot swear me free, here I sit in my shelterd little world. But at least I strive to make me free of all learned-in boundaries Will we ever reach the goal to se us all as one? at least together with our beautiful Mother Earth? Peace and love Gun Thanks for viewing and the comments you want to give.

You hit the nail directly on the head my friend. We who all share on mother seem unable to get along because of a stupid flag and the boundries that were created ages ago. What woould happen if we had no boundries and no flags to identigy us? Would we achieve peace? Thank you for sharing. egmont

I totally share your sentiments and love the image. The world should indeed be "Without Borders" both internally and externally. Hugs for reminding us all.

Gun your image illustrates your profound words so well. Your words echo with me and I share in your thoughts. You know when I saw the thumb, my mind pictured nuns in full habit standing opposite the Muslim women in their garments. I saw so many parallels, and felt a deep sorrow over the separation. A very impacting image is this one for me. Hugs and love, sis, Suzanne

beautiful capture! i think boarders are not the problem. as mentioned, we need boarders and separatation to define our identity, to find out what we are or want to be. difference is needed for evolution. the problem comes up, when one group thinks they are right and the others are wrong, and thererfore the others have to go or be eliminated. that's another topic. unfortunatly do separation and the feel of being supperior work very well togehter.

Where there is a radical imposing their will on others there is trouble. It's not all the different religions I find thats the problem, matters not what road as it all ends at the same destination, But its when others are forced to travel anothers road that is not of their free will. Excellent image

So very true. This image goes so well with the theme. Too many people judge a book by it's cover. We peer warily at them as much as they do to us. Very well done!

Even these burkas are imposed by another group: men! There will always be separations between gender as well as religion, philosophy, politics, and ethnicity. And there MUST be a boundary between GOOD and EVIL! A striking painting.

It is fear that keeps us apart and love that brings us closer. Imagine the fear the men have to force this kind of control on the women.

OMG we're going to get political !! Why is it that we westerners are described as being afraid ? Can SOMEBODY pleeeeease tell me this. No? I can. 1.Because every time a westerner stands up for their country and their culture, then he gets shot down by the media as a rasist and or someone who's scared. Scared of f------ people who force women to wear that outfit, who abuse their woman and childen constantly, who follow leaders like that of Mohhammad who is a self proclaimed, amongst others a rapist, torturer, murderer, cannabil, terrorist, pirate and phaedophile. Scared of these wankers no, concerned ? I'm very concerned because they are using Islam and Muslims to further their own cause. Not all Muslims are bad but they are all scared because they don't know who to trust from their own people. Why do you think they don't come forward, to stand up and be counted in their new countries or their old? (Eg: Iraq) It's because most of them don't give a s--- about their country or yours. It's their religion only that counts and the good Muslims are dead set scared of their religions and its die hard follows. Whats the best way to get a man to do something illegal ? Yeah its to threaten his family or offer a one way ticket to heaven with a couple of dozen virgins to play around with. Believe me you don't have to be a radical to fall for those offers. 2.It's because some of us see the real world as it is. It's a nasty place. There are far too many differences between us and thats NEVER going to be fixed. Sure we as westerners can make an effort but nobody else gives a f...! Why because they only think of themselves. Is that bad? Maybe to us but thats the way they have been bought up to survive the same as our ancestors did centuries ago. Yes they raped plundered and pillared. Our ancestors were definaletly not angels But we have moved on. Can someone raise their hand and tell me that they don't come from a land that has not been conquered at one time or another ? No you can't, except for maybe the true Buddist Kingdom of Thailand. Maybe I should get some lawyers to take on the Romans who kicked us off our land, transported us to England where later those relatives were shipped to Australia for stealing a loaf of bread. Now there's an idea for a class action yeah right. I am well over it and have got on with it. I've grown up, becomepart of responsible society for which I actually do somethin exceot to try and rip it off. I've become more "civilized" well at least not so primative. mmmmmmm ? I think its about time the f------ lot of you grew the f--- up. You have YOUR/OUR young men and women dying for your country. And all you can think about is being apologetic because we don't trust people wearing Burckas which is either an outfit they are forced to wear because of the Mohammad days or volunteer to waer just to piss us off because they can gey away with it but a motorcyclist can't What a lot of crap ! You know what? I would really love is to take some of these male and female d-------s over there. Put them through a sale yard or just give then away to whoever and see how long they last. Why dont the rest try and find someone who has been sucked into marrying one of these guys so he can stay in the country and ask her how many threats and beatens she's taken. GET F----- REAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure there are 1000's of American women that this would concern as there are lots of Australian. (Warning they do not care about you in any way. They joke about you in the Mosques and cafes. You bloody fools, great misguided intentions but fools all the same. Woman with battered faces, women who are constantly under threat to have their kids disappear. I feel for you I really do but you have been sucked in by the anti estabishment mafiosa and.....they......don't......care) Well I tell you wankers you try wearing a pair of shorts in some of these countries and see how far you get. For f---sake get out there and see what goes on in this world. Don't travel the trendy tourist roads, get outback were you take your life in your own hands just by walking down a street. You want open borders lol not everyone'w thinks as civilised as you, there would be total chaos and anachy. Why do you think its so hard to get into and move around freely in certain countries ? Its the only way of keeping their people under control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and it's why they are all being sent to place like the US. Thank your lucky stars you live where you do and you don't even realize it. Sure lets follow the Christian God, Jesus, Budda, Islam Hindu and dozens of others BUT lets NOT allow the follows of Mohammad to threaten us which has been what they've been doing since the 1970's. If you don't know the difference, and I bet most of you don't, then you shouldn't be commenting until you do. Sure lets do not stop immigration but lets do it with some sanity and reason. Sorry if I got a little over passionate but there are a lot of my soldiers in arms dying. It's about time the common people stood beside them. The world is NEVER going to be fully at peace, believe it. Thats not to say good people should give up BUT DO IT FOR THE RIGHT REASONS not because it's fashionable or because you like being sooo cool and anti establishment. Grow the f---UP. Actually be apart of your country. REALLY do something for it other than to complain NOTE: Could you imagine a Middle East, let alone the world with Iran, running a puppet government in Iraq, one in Afhganistan and another in Pakistan? A couple of years ago that was well on the way to just that case. C'mon people get with the program !; and Why do you think the Mexican Government is not giving a rats arse to help the US stop illegals? Have a reeeeal good think about that one. But please, not too long for your own and that of your childens sake. (Scared lol No way ! concerned ? you ought to be) Look further than your selfish, socialistic, idealistic selves. Be passionate about your country. You know a brave USA Serviceman once said " Think Not of What your country can do for you. But what can you do for your country" or words to that effect. It's a real shame alot more people don't think the same way. If they did we would ALL be a lot better off. Ok about the photo. I really can't comment although I suppose they have upped their borders shields haven't they. Actually at least one of them looks like a bloke.

A touchy subject. One wonders what went wrong in countries where women and children are of less value then cattle? Humanity is a perverse species .. they find loving Gods, then twist them into hateful things with all the rules and regulations they compile and call "religion". Why does one human feel the need to have power over another in the name of "religion"? Okay .. I'm stopping my rant here. The photo is beautiful, because despite our drawbacks, humans are beautiful. Those eyes .. one pair laughing, the other not .. one wonders ...

Clothing forms a boundary around ones skin which enhances life. People wouldn't wear clothes if they didn't feel vulnerable. When the ozone holes get bigger we might all be going around in Burkah's. Thank God real people don't go around dressed like 95% of Renderosity renders - wouldn't that be appalling!!
