Description


We bought alot of different flower bulbs at the start of summer, some we had to move out of the full sun..my aunt also gave me alot. so we are not sure what this one is. If someone could help me name it,that would be great....

I thought I knew what this was but I just had to deleat my comment as its not! Sorry I can't help! You should take the bloom into a nursery and find out :)

I thought it was a type of orchid.....but now it kinda looks like a type of lily......you'll find out what it is eventually.....you and your "green thumb" HEHEHE!

YES, I can name it for you. It is ACIDANTHERA, a member of the Gladioli family. It is a summer flowering bulb, and is very fragrant. Mine are only just starting to open. Your photo of it is gorgeous.......thankyou.

It has a most delightful smell . I have a photo i took a month ago , it is not a good shot (mine). Store the bulbs at the end of the season , plant them next year . And enjoy them. Congratulations for the photo . Nice shot . Thanks for sharing .

I know it's not, but it sriously reminds me of the ghost Orchid I saw in "Adaptation" with Nicholos Cage, I'm sure you'd love it if you haven't seen it yet, it is about flowers and so much more beautiful shot too !
