PS her eis a darker poem I wrote last night after having quite the nightmare .
Enjoy ~
Those heavy eyes that creep on windows
and Taps that wake you in restless sleep ,
The midnight hour that taunts and tangles
around inner soothing leaps.
You trip up languid , laughing , lofty like a lions den .
The dawn has no mourning so you play on its vast intensity,
Staring starry eyed and maddened by its waves of loud uncalming silences .
Drifting again into another hour as later than before its row .
Images maul a distant heaven that angels tread upon as soft moonbeams carry in the perfume of rose gardens that will be lost by mornings glow .
The saphire night in soma pictures , nothing to the drifting spirit ,
Lasting all but a minutes careless touch , the power inside the
Wanton edge dies in the coming coma .
You saw the water rise to meet you once like roads and forests green ,
And yet the water seems to call you , like a beacon out to seas .
You drown in it depths and fall in fastened fury , fighting nothing but your own fate .
So lavish is her splashing currents , that any maiden would lose her will .
Amber , crimson , green and blue , the darkest dowry that ever was given .
At last the lover is forgotten , at last the fire is trodden and burnt out like a smokey ashen bed , where one lyes alone in a curious state of death.
The phantom taps , the eyes that watch , the clock that ticks and wakes you there , the coldest shiver around a care .
The dream a whisper on the words that twist within ,
But alas poor dowry was but to give in .
