I signed up at Renderosity in 2000 and spent a few years being inspired by some great artists around here, and learn from them. I was moderator for the Vue forum here at Renderosity from 2004 to 2008. If you want to learn about Vue, or share some tips, I encourage you to visit us. IÂ am currently drifting away from pure CGÂ and more into digital painting. I wish your staying at Renderosity will be as warm and instructive as it has been for me.
BIO
I was born in France and currently living in the USA. I have a technical background in Computer Science and a strong attraction for anything related to graphism (from visualizations, image analysis to photography and computer graphics). For the past few years, my work in CG has developed into something a little more serious than a hobby, with growing aspiration to turn it into something professional.
I also have a personal website at : Linfa.net. It is growing slower than I would like but hopefully it is worth visiting. Among other things, this site contains my main gallery, a section dedicated to Computer Graphics called Tricks and Treats and a link to my Store, where you can purchase t-shirts, posters, calendars and other products using some of my designs.
My 'trilogy' of tools is Poser for characters, Vue Infinite for atmospheres and rendering and Photoshop for touching up. I am currently practicing with Painter (not much to show so far) and learning modeling with Hexagon and Zbrush.

This is already beautiful agiel. I can't wait to see when you finish her. I think what would bring it together is a little contour around the back sides of the head and face. That area of the images looks a little flat, but the body area is spectacular!

This is a nice picture, but she's looking more like a frightened teenager than a powerful elven lady.

Not being a true Tolkien's fan (I never read it, but saw the film), I really like this picture. For me, it's closed to the way I imagine the lady of Lothlorien... :-)

She is a beautiful character I just adore this pose and how she is just gazing off in the distance. You certainly captured something special in her expression ;-)

excellent image, and fitting of the character, but one comment; i'm new at this but have been lurking this site for a while for inspiration and have noticed that overall, no one shades the inner nostrils. is it possible or unavoidable? otherwise a delicious portrayal of the fea.

oldmurph: the nostrils thing is a well known bug of poser, and a well known detail I always forget about. Thanks for bringing that up :)

This ia a really beautiful portrait, fascinating I can say. The hair painting is not so bad (I'm training too and it's a quite hard task :P!!); I like very much her expression and pose. Good pic! ~*Siliphiel
