Description
Here's my entry to the LW monthly challenge. I thought I'd get it done early so I don't miss the deadline this month.
All basic modeling techniques (7 hours), nothing fancy here. Simple rendering with a background image. Hope you like it.

Thank you for your kind comments. Sabaman, the fabric is modeled (I used an open curve, extruded with tripled polys, then used magnet, dragnet, twist and vortex commands to tweak the shape). I was going to use "bones" to have it flutter and flap about, but since these are only stills... no point to it. :o)

very cool. great shape on the balloon and i love the ropes...er..netting..or whatever them balloonists call it. the whole thing has that vintage sci-fi/fantasy feel. that red ribbon is a nice touch too. great work,and good luck in the contest! see what you can accomplish in the time you waste in chat? ahem (^_^)*
