Seemed to me this pretty guy already had some experience with photo shootings - he kept still
and didn't even fly away as I came closer ... ;-)
This image took part in a local newspaper photo contest but couldn't compete with
all the other great pics there.

I don't see why you could not compete. This photo is as good as any of the other good bird photo's I have seen on here or elsewhere!
