I really like this photograph! It's simple, plain and captures such a magnificent view of nature and the natural world at its finest. The sand looks mushy and warm........ has a great feel to it! Superb work!

I think your subject is really good here, it's all by itself and the rule of thirds is good. I would however strongly recommend straightening the horizon in shot. This would also give the 'twig' an angle creating a much needed diagonal in the frame.
