Description

Notes: The Thousand Sons Legion of space marines who turned traitor during the Horus Heresy. Ironically enough the Legion's Primarch Magnus The Red on discovering the Heresy used all his Psyche as well as forbidden magic skill and energy to send a desperate warning single across space and time to the Emperor. The Emperor however refused to believe that Horus had betrayed him. Angred by Magus' violation of Emperial decree to not persue practices of sorcery as upposed to Psyche power which was condoned, he sent the Space Wolves Legion against the Thousand Sons homeworld. While accounts very the basic gist of things is that the Space Wolves struck overwhelmingly on the more or less ill prepaired Thousand Sons and that near the end of the battle, Magus, seening his world in ruins, his Chapter all but anhilated, etc struck a relucant bargen with the Chaos god Tzeentch in order to save his world and his brother marines. It is but one of many tragic stories of the Horus Heresy. The Legion colors were orginally red with silver trim and gold accompanyments. So I basicly just modified the Blood Angel texture, creating new shoulder pad textures, modifying the body texture slightly here and there, etc. I also did the Rev's Thousand Son head peice in the Legion's orginal colors since there are quite a number of pictures of the Thousand Sons having such head peices added to there helmets during the Heresy. After the Heresy the Legion colors were changed to Blue and gold. Thanks for all the continued comments and support folks have given this little series. ^^ EDITED WITH CORRECT SHOULDER PIPING COLORS

I had completely forgotten that the Thousand Sons had that nice red and white color scheme during the Heresy. Very nice work on this. Like I said, you will eventually have to have an image with a representative of each chapter along with their respective shoulder flash 'ala Index Astartes.
