Description
There were actually close to 100 of these birds on the wire that morning; chirping away like there was no tomorrow. I just chose 3 - one of which was looking at me.
Today is 9/11 ~ Six years later. Why does it still feel like it was yesterday ....

Some people like to swim with sharks, and birds seem to have this all but fatal attraction for high tension lines. Once on reserve duty in the IDF, I saw a crow make a mistake in landing on one. What was left of him were only a few scattered feathers. Nice photo, BTW. DPH

LOVE the beautifully subtle shading twixt moonset & not Shari... We have something like them but totally BLACK Raucous & NASTY! They ADORE cleaning out our feeders & "soiling" my fountains - Lousy Sky Ratzzz! But then - All God's Critters GOTTA EAT. Happy Tuesday anyway & I agree - that MAYBE one day - 9/11 Anniversaries WON'T leave us with that sinking End of The World feeling. Sympathies to those who LOST anyone in the attacks. Your pov is a daring one. I try not to stand so closely underneath a flock of birds...it can get messy. LOL Good shot and the moon is a great added touch. That day not only took the lives of so many innocent people, but it changed the overall way of life for all Americans. We will never be the way we were.
