Description

Aww cute little critter I hear you say. Oh NO!! Not in the UK!! These "Tree Rats" as we call the common grey squirrel, are nothing but vermin and are treated as such. They're bigger and more aggressive than our native Red Squirrel (which has become quite a rarity these days) and they are very destructive to our Forrest's and woodlands. OK so they're cute, now re-load!!!! :) Photographed in the grounds of Oldway Mansion Paignton,Devon England. The former home of Isaac Merrit (of the Singer sewing machine fame)

Finely detailed photo Steve, and the little bugger certainly "looks" cute! It is amazing what these critters can do that is fine in thier nature habitat, but destructive and unwanted in our homes. Just hope we can leave them some space somewhere. You have given me an idea for a post, now I gotta see if I can come up with the image . . . Excellent Photo!!!

At our house, we call them bushy tailed rats .. or occaisionally, tree rats. Can't say "squirrel" at our house. All three grrrs go beserker when you say the "s" word. They are VERY nervous and jerky when they stop in our yard. Out at the Hollow we have red squirrels. Cute shot of this one ..
