Description

Actually, another shot while I'm on my back looking up at the 1999 building. This is another film shot that I decided to go B+W with. I'm using some of these monochrome pictures for my Architectural Portfolio here. I was surprised of the impact that B+W has on certain shots that were originally in color ... Just a thought, I only shot exclusive B+W and IR e-6 30 years ago. Akk! "Old Fart Alert" All the best, and its only Tuesday! Kurt

Yes Kurt, B&W has sometimes extraordinary impact on colors picts, we use to see the world in colors but B&W allows to only focus our eyes on contrasts, shadows and light. Here, in your spectacular pict (The POV and choice of centring are excellent)it's particularly well set and adds some "drama" ...

Funny Zorg1955 (Jean Louis), I actually thought of you when sorting shots for B+W, as you are the master! Your explanation of why B+W works so well makes me want to do more :) Kurt

LOL! I didn't realize you were that old! Bet I've got you beat. I agree with the B&W effect in some images. This is not only a fantastic architectural shot, but has an inspirational effect on me for obvious reasons. Just as in the old B&W movies, the imagination works to create colors and emotions subliminally I believe, based on individual life experiences of the viewers. Exceptional work! Hugs, Suzanne

Great POV, I do always love your architectural shots. Black and white works wonderfully here but the color fiend in me still wants to see the color version. Great shot and congrats on being selected for LWITG!
