absolutely top-notch! The mountains you chose here make a very colorful grouping. The layers are wonderful to inspect. Too bad about the fence.

I love the perspective of the fence leading to the Mesa. Kudos!

Why is everything fenced off? At least it is not barbwire. As an artist and photographer, I dislike having no access in order to capture the a scene without man's intervention and in your case the area is so beautiful and to see it fenced in to keep us out is rather sad. Thank you for sharing, egmont

Love those different colored layers. Why it is fenced?

The land isn't necessarily fenced to keep us out, it is fenced to keep animals in. The Navajos raise many goats and sheep and although a lot of Navajo land is free range, this piece is near the intersection of two VERY busy highways. Also, many people will abuse the land. There are trash and broken bottles in many places. Some people don't respect the land and so fences are built to keep them and the rest of us out. This is very very unfortunate. I personally like the fence in this photo. It is situated so that it leads the eye to the middle, to the mountain. EXCELLENT image!

When I'm hiking back in the pinions where there's a feeling, "no man may have been here"; but suddenly, what do I find but some ancient rusty barbed wire! We do co-exist, and I don't think anyone currently drawing breath has counted the times. Blows my mind to realize there were sea creatures swimming here, once upon a time.
