Your story and pictures are magnificant. What a treat to see the eagle up close, and to get a second chance at seeing it after the first lady chased it off. This summer I got to see elk in the wild, with huge fuzzy antlers, from a distance of about three feet - what an experience. I could have reached out and touched them but I was too busy taking pictures.

Awesome story and wonderful shots of the day on Second Beach! A chance of a lifetime -- there are no eagles here in FL that I've ever seen. There are Osprey's, which look like eagles, but, alas, no eagles. :^)
