Description
I could not find anything about the barge apart from it's name Pallieter and the fact it was built in 1910.
I left the lads in the rowing boat in the picture because I thought they added a bit more intrest.
Thank you for looking any comments of suggestions always welcome.

Lol great idea leaving the lads in the photo, they look like their trying to pull the barge with that rope thrown out into the water like that. Nice shot

Nice capture and I agree the row boat looks like it is tring to tow the barge. Well the only thing I can add to the barge is it is a 'sail barge', you can tell that by the weighted mast, they have the weight on to assist in hoisting it upright. I believe they were once a common sight on the Thames. If you search for the name 'Pallieter' it refers to a dredger of that name in Belgium. You don't say where you are David so I am guessing the Thames somewhere. It would be interesting to find out a little more about this old barge. I have just spent about 15 mins on google and yahoo but have not dredged anything up(pun). Excellent subject!! Bravo!!!!!
