Description

-Around 130 000 light years away from Earth,in another star system,lies a planet by the name of “Xharish””.Blazing hot surface temperatures , harsh winds,dust storms, frighteningly large and savage wild creatures... as well as precious little water supply ensure that only the hardiest inhabitants live there. One of these tribes, the “Xha-D'or nation are the fiercest of them all. From childhood, both men and woman are mercilessly trained as warriors, game trackers and water finders. They choose to live in the far reaches of the interior,surrounded by desert and high mountain ranges. Nomadic by nature, they roam in the cooler winter months, and in the fierce heat of high summer, they disappear underground into a network of wind worn mineral-rich caves where the heat is easier to withstand. This labrynth is their “Nations Heart” and is sacred. Here no blood can be drawn. Those who dare break this age old law are dealt with swiftly. Ruthless and brutally efficient fighters and hunters, they have thwarted all attempts to gain access to the mineral rich interior. Every full moon, two chosen warriors must cross the wasteland and return with a token of the crossing before the next pair leave. A time span of 42 days. This is done on foot and with nothing but weapons. They have to find food, water and protect from marauding bandits as well as the dreaded “Cha-ka'an”, creatures from a hell itself. If they returned home in the allowed time, they become those who have faced nightmares both real...and imagined....and yet by utilizing every skill they possess as well as drawing on both inner and physical reserves of strength they never knew they had...have overcome all odds and survived. They have crossed empty lands and met with empty hearts and souls.... they have become ....”Desert Walkers”. This is the first in a new concept series of mine entitled “Desert walkers”. Its intended as a graphic novel or graphic series but will probably morph with time. So far the concept, all graphics and copy are my own but I would welcome a collaboration with someone who thinks its worth a shot. Drop me a line if you're interested. Great piece of work and nice backstory setup. Reminds me of "Dune" a little bit, in a good way. Looking foward to more of this project, hoping it develops into a series.

Wow! Great poses, the terrain texture is just perfect with your included storyline and the hand placement on the weaponry is simply incredible! An absolute beauty, Max! I really am looking forward to following the storyline and watch as it develops!!
