Description

This Blue Heron has been hanging around our area for about 3 years now and doesn't seem to have a mate. I used a zoom to get close enought to get this photograph. I just went to google but it didn't mention why they stand on one leg when snoozing.

That's a good question - and thinking of what would happen if I tried to snooze on one leg - CRASH! ;o) They are talented birds. Excellent capture!
