BobbyStahr aka Robert Purves was seduced into computers late in life(age 45) by a free Amiga 1000 that I needed to transcribe music with. When that was done one thing led to another and 18 months later due to a need for speed and Imagine porting over I jumped to a pc. Never looked back happy to say. I play no games, have no business software, just art and music. BIO I use Imagine a lot, Photoshop quite a bit, Vue6I PLE a bit also, and have played a bit with the free ver. of Cinema4D, and am recently enamored of the new TG 3 Free. I also write copious amounts of music in an awesome and inexpensive music writing software called MelodyAssistant, available at http://www.myriad-online.com The hyphen is part of the URL. Highly reccomended to anyone, musician or not. I got into art from sports at an early age when I discovered I was more into cooperation than competition...my mission statement is" Never go straight.....Go Forward...."

I do not know about the quality settings ... but you should raise the atmosphere samples (75 i.e.) and push the AntiAliasing to maximum.

I like your arrangement of things in this Bobby!!! The only thing is currently TG2 Can not match quality with Vue (Per Render Times), but hopefully that will change in future versions!!! 5***** Buddy!!!!!

Hay morning brother. Awesome Job you doing there. I love your back yard, well done and I do not think people realize how hard it is to get it to do what you just created and shows us just how very good you really are. A hearty slap on the back and I just want you to know, give em hell Bobby, give them Hell lololol. I would give you a 10 on this one if IO could. Composition, lighting, Textures, Plant placement, and coloring are awesome. Hay a side not: I sure hope you are planning on entering a entry in the TGD2 NEW Monthly Challenges? haha, I can see you have the time to enter a simple one? It sure would help inspire people to get into tgd2 more if some Wonderful Artists like you and a few others around here were to come play with us some. Pretty Please? with Mountains on it? /chuckles............What fun we can have and we are just getting the tgd2 stuff going to help make it more fun for people as well. DT's Alley

As most of y'all likely won't read my post in the Vue Forum as I haven't linked it, here's what I say there.... This was done in response to a comment in a Vue forum thread over at Renderosity. While it didn't turn out quite the same it was a fun challenge to myself to do this Well this is as close as I made it. Bear in mind I only have access to 3 populations and these are single plant "eco-systems' in the Free version so one went for the grass, another for fill trees in the background and another went for the smaller background bushes. All other tree had to be added singly as with the fern and bananna plant in the grassy box. I built thee walls in Imagine 3D and seperated them so they could be textured properly in TG2TP after I figured how to get them to map correctly. Also it could be a finer render if I had the paid ver. as I could have jacked up the AA as well...sigh but at 7:50:34 to render this 800x600 I shudder to think what it would be like if I could afford high AA and larger sizes..LOL.. ...
