To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.
Brightest Blessings to you all!
Heather
 Mina's daughter
Thanks to all for stopping by and hope you enjoy your visit.

"I get out my work and have a show for myself before I have it publicly.
I make up my own mind about how good or bad or indifferent it is.
After that the critics can write what they please.
I have already settled it for myself so flattery
and criticism go down the same drain and I am quite free.

I see this as dark, but uplifting. She's leaving behind the existence that hurt her and moving on to a better one, hopefully. Excellent piece, Mina ... one that jump-starts the imagination.

Do you know 'Lilly Marlene, Das Mädchen unter der Laterne'. It was sung by Marlene Dietrich. The picture reminds me of it. Very nice! --- The lyrics became from the German soldier Hans Leib in the World War I, before he departure at the Russian one Front, written. Only 1937, the text was published and 1938 of Robert Schulze, under the name: "Das Mädchen unter der Laterne", and with new tone equip. The singer and actress-Marlene Dietrich then spread it about the whole one World. In her last public appearance end of 1980 in NewYork heard still sung 'Lili Marlen' from her I and it brought her a long blustery applause.
