Description


This is another part of the Heidelberg castle ruins. It is called the Powder-Tower, because masses of munition and gunpowder were stored here, and it was destroyed in the year 1693 by the french troops. The tower explodet and broke into two pieces. (I posted a pic of this tower a long time ago, July 2006, but this one shows more details.)
