Description

Here at Shibden Hall Folk Museum Halifax Yorkshire UK. THE HEARSE The Hearse was built in the late 19th centuary by John Marstons & Co.Ltd. Birmingham UK. Funerals were an elaborate affair and very ornate decoration was fassionable at the time. So it has an elaborate cast-iron cornice at the top, black scalloped hangings, plate glass windows etched with floral designs, silver plate fittings, and sombre black paintwork. Only Black Horses would be used. They would wear black harness decorated with silver fittings, and Black Ostrich plumes on their heads. Later on some of the harness and fittings were on view in the Saddler's workshop.

Awesome shot Alan fantastic detail when enlarged, pity the careing staff left the ladders underneath. That aside mate great shot and a good narrative as well. Bravo!!!!!
