Description

Rushing, anxiously eager -- in fear, yet persistence Ignoring "self" to instead give needed assistance. All of us choking on crashing, burning debris, Yet you lift lives from Death's grip, as you did me. You told me "Hold on, we will get you out," And though I lay in pain, I had not a doubt. I'd seen your valiant work a thousand times before... Just never thought it would be me at Death's door. You rescued many, although few may know it was you As we were barely able to see, peering glimpses in blackened hue. My heart overflows with thanks for what you have done, My unseen hero who carried me from tomb back into the sun.
