I like the contrast between the light green of the fields in the mid-distance, and the dark colours of the surrounding areas. Also the way in which the background mountains sort of pile up and recede into the haze ... ... Great shot!

Great POV, great depth of field, great rain in the background..., Anthony. It would pass as a great render too. ;o) Now that Sunday is almost over the sun dared to come out. Autumn definitely visited this weekend. Unheard of things happened ( Motherwell FC won away from home! ) Then I heard, with sadness, that one of our 'local heroes', past world champion rally driver Colin McRae, along with his young son, another lad and a friend, were killed in that helicopter crash near his home, a mile east of Lanark. I well remember, over 20 years ago now, helping to warn Colin and his father about racing during the night hours, on that twisty Clyde Valley road, between Sandilands, through Crossford towards Kirkfieldbank and Lanark. His dad had a wee garage in Crossford in those days. One of my sons tells me that the windsock, for the McRae field, can be seen from the main road, and that there is at least another helicopter pilot in the near vicinity of Jerviswood. I've seen a few hot air balloons out there as well, at least in the summer ( ha, ha ) months. Regards, John.

You always have to be on top of a hill or something...well, it works very well and good for the legs and lungs. This fine shot makes me want even more to get to your land on our trip next year...minus the bug season.
