***The day of the rugby game*** It was about noon when Perry and Amanda stepped out from the house and walked out to the street. Turning, they faced the house, both with wands raised. -----“I don’t know why I have to do anything.” _”As I explained…this is a very difficult piece of old magik. You won’t be casting any spells, but I need some of your magik to finish it all up. If things go a little wrong, the house won’t reform…if things go terribly wrong…well, the house will be the last thing we’ll have to worry about.”_ -----“Ok…little wrong, no house; terribly wrong…” _”And Death will be the least of our worries.”_ -----“Comforting.” Amanda raised her wand high, glanced to make sure the surroundings were quite empty and said, _”Pulvis Ut Pulvis”_ The last word uttered, the house began to collapse. Dust as a thousand years had passed in moments. Everything pouring into piles on the ground. Even the brickwork wasn’t immune to the passage of time. As it all came down, slowly but surely, a gaping hole opened up where the basement should be…black as pitch…a void…nothingness. The dust poured down, attempting to fill the unnatural gap in the earth. The house was melting away; openings to the different rooms of the house showed the carnage of time in this little space. Charlie’s room was what they were waiting on, and down it came; along with an unnatural coldness that heated the air. Far above the ruins of the house, a star was born, just bright enough to see in the noon day sun…for only a moment. Amanda sighed. _”It’s gone.”_ Taking her wand, she tapped Perry’s; and in a low tone said, _”Vicis Reverto”_ The dust poured from the house stopped…it began returning to the dwelling. Up from the piles on the ground; up from the void beneath the house. Filling in the damaged house…the destroyed rooms…the powdered furniture. And in mere minutes, all was back to the way it was. Amanda and Perry walked back towards the house and up to the porch. Stopping before they reentered the house; -----“You sure it’s gone?” _”Yeah”_ -----“What was that under the house?” _”Mom and dad put some really powerful magik on the basement. Nothing we could have done would have touched it.”_ -----“And I thought you were going to blow up the house.” _”Thought about it…but no matter how empty the neighborhood is, I think that would have drawn someone’s attention. So, I used a time spell to age it about three thousand years.”_ -----“Good plan. Where to next, Charlie’s room?” _”It’s the place to be now.”_ They entered the house. All appeared to be normal. -----“Well…that’s a relief.” _”We haven’t checked the rest of the house yet, don’t get overconfident.”_ -----“You just have to be a buzz kill on everything don’t you?” _”I just want to be cautious. What if some of that which fell into the basement didn’t come back just right? I never knew all of mom and dads’ enchantments…something could have gone wrong.”_ -----“Like I said, BUZZ KILL!” _”And like I said…If you drop through a hole to the basement-“_ -----“-I’ll scream like a little girl, and probably cry too.” After an hour of searching through the house, and fortunately, finding nothing wrong…they end up back in front of Charlie’s door.
