Description

Yurtle is a Red Eared Slider, a common water turtle found in the United States. He belongs to a friend of my daughter's, and will be staying with us during her college years. He's very different than our Turtle, Norton, who is a reeves turtle. Yurtle is very active at times and begs for food. He eats commercial turtle food, and enjoys chicken, steak, pork and cold cuts. He enjoys having the food held for him so that he can "hunt" it himself. He's very colorful and a very handsome turtle.

Yes, a lovely turtle. I have 2 now. one is 12 years old and the other is about 8. I just gave my grand daughter one that was only about a year old and also named Yurtle. Fantastic capture.
