Alooooooha!
It's Sun. already, but it's been a nice relaxing weekend...just what the Dr. ordered.
Took a drive before sun up yesterday to check out the surf as I heard it was up. It was up, but the direction was not great and the waves were not the best for riding. But I know as a former surfer, that once your down at the beach your pretty much going in no matter what it looks like.
This particular area has some gnarly underwater rocks that will chew off body parts if you eat it. Not a good place to learn to surf, but the locals have accepted the fact and stay away from the most dangerous areas. I know you probably can't see it but this guy is wearing a helmet, and full upper body wet suit to attest to this fact.
Like any sport there is risk and reward...surfers have deemed that the reward is well worth the risk.

That blue surfboard stands out strongly. Hope he wont have trouble finding his board when he wipe-out in the deep blue sea. The clouds looks intense and hope their surf is too. Excellent morning shot my friend. Aloha

Ah, to be young and bulletproof... Now I see craggy rocks peeking out of a crashing surf and think, "This can't lead to anything good ... I think I'll pass." But I applaud your bravery and skill. Most excellent photo!
