SIMON CHENG BOON KHENG (born IPOH,PERAK February 28, 1977) IS A DOUBLE DEAN LIST AWARDS WINNER DESIGNER BASED IN IPOH, PERAK,
MALAYSIA.
HE IS ONE OF THE BELATE CALVIN FOO'S APPRENTICE. CALVIN FOO IS CO-FOUNDER OF ARTES COLLEGE. THERE ARE ONLY TWO APPRENTICE, CALVIN FOO HAVE TOOK DURING HIS LIFE. MOST OF THE CHENG'S WORK IS MODERN MINIMALIST.
CHENG SPENT MANY YEARS WORKING IN TRADITIONAL INTERIOR DESIGN FIRM; IN 2000, HE, JERE KON AND HIS MENTOR (CALVIN FOO)CREATED THEIR OWN FIRM, SPACEFORM DESIGN.
HE EXPERIENCED FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES DURING MUCH OF HIS FIRM'S EARLY DAYS. MOST OF THE TIME JERE KON WAS THE ONE WHO FUND PROPS AND MATERIALS. HE EXPRESSED CREATIVITY IN HIS OWN HOME, THE CHENG RESIDENCE, WHICH HE USE AS A CREATIVE LAUNCH PAD, PLAYING WITH SHAPES AND FORMS.CHENG DECIDED TO TAKE HIS WORK IN A NEW DIRECTION. TOWARD THE MODERNISM AND MINIMALIST.

HE GENERATED MUCH OF HIS WORKS, AND HIS CORE ROLE AS A CONCEPT AND INTERIOR DESIGNER AT SPACEFORM DESIGN. HE IS ONE OF THE COUNTRY'S PIONEER CONCEPTUALISM DESIGNER.
HE ONCE AWARDED " THE BEST RETAIL WINDOW DISPLAY " FROM DATO TAN SERI WILLIAM CHENG AT THE AGE OF 20. HE IS ALSO FORMER VMD ( VISUAL MERCHANDISING DEPARTMENT ) OF LION GROUP CO.
DURING HIS COLLEGE PERIOD, HE WORK PART-TIME AT 'BEAD BAR' AS COSTUME JEWELLRY DESIGNER. ONCE OUR LOCAL INTERNATIONAL STAR DATO MICHELLE YEOH WAS HIS CLIENT.

hi friends, about long time i miss renderosity. i quite busy this few year for setting up my studio and preparation my works. lot of thing i miss from this site. well, i m back again. this time i want to share it up something i almost finish the project. it is a concept design.

Beautifully made. The only criticism really is that in real life, this tank would be fairly vulnerable to attack due to it's height- tanks are designed to present as small a target to enemies as possible, so generally they have a much flatter profile. :)
