Description

I like to think that you all have had as good or better weekend as I have. I do hope so! A little interlude for a favorite recent capture of mine, my Oxford series will continue shortly. This was not an easy capture as the lighting conditions were quite extreme, thus the higher than normal grain. I didn't fell that I could include this capture in my Oxford series although the subject (a Chinese model warship) has been a resident of the Pitt-Rivers Museum in Oxford for over a century its not quite what I had in mind when I started that sequence of work. Many thanks to all who viewed and/or commented on my last capture, I appreciate the time you have taken to look at my work.

A wonderful capture of this little man and his cannon. :-) The workmanship of this piece of art is only matched by the talent of the photographer.

I can understand the difficulties one can encounter when we want to capture a scene but there are elements that do make things less desirable. I do find the limited lighting very appealing and the way you have cropped the scene. Have a great week. Thank you for sharing. egmont

Great capture of this interesting war ship, especially in that extra dark shooting setting!
