Description
My entry for the 'Think Pink II' breast cancer awareness contest being run at dA.
I was trying to convey a sense of not only celebrating life, but also how it's important to remember the effect breast cancer has on the generations of females who are the daughters, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, nieces, cousins of their loved ones who have and have had it and the long term effects it has on their lives.
I remember having my first two lumps removed when I was 22, I just didn't think it was possible, I was so young.
Always remeber to do regular breast checks yourself, get them done by your doctor and be on your national screening programme.

A lovely scene and a great interpretation, beautifully done. Breast cancer does seem to strike so young that we do need to be aware of that.
