"There is not one blade of grass, there is no colour in this world that is not intended to make us rejoice" ~ John Calvin
I decided it was time to once again visit the Morikami Japanese Gardens, this time armed with my more versatile modded IR camera. This time I would not be limited by having to use a tripod, or have to wait for long exposures. Plus, I would be able to capture images in "false color." Here is one of the photographs from my Sunday outing. I was able to hunker down near the lake shore and actually take this photo from ground level. The ground sloped down so I was able to capture a bit of the lake through the grass in addition to the trees and wonderful sky. I hate to mention it but as usual the larger version has better detail, so click if you want to see it. ------
Thanks for your cracked comments on my previous upload,
A Hole In My Heart Of Stone
I don't believe the heart was artificial, the path just
eroded there and happened to look like a heart.

Awesome shot, especially the focus and clouds against the sky! Your special camera and preliminary efforts paid off magnificently in this fantastic study in contrast.

A super angle to take this shot and the grasses look great, but don't those trees look superb. The sky just adds to the great feel of this shot. Lovely work.

Excellent image, very dramatic presentation:):):):)

It looks like the blades of grass are holding down the clouds and keeping them from moving, which in a way is an interesting idea now that I think about it. Thank you for sharing. egmont
