(Had to reduce this to 55% size to get it on the site...)

the problem is with the way you're saving the file. If you upload a bmp, then yeah, you'll have to reduce the size by a lot. If you're uploading a jpg, don't use Poser or Daz's jpg file, they save it without any compression and it's almost like a bmp. Take it into your paint program and save it that way, then you shouldn't have to reduce the size so much. Get accustomed to the custom/advanced jpg compression settings, you can really reduce a file's size and not lose any resolution if you know how to do it right.

Thanks for the comments all, & thanks for the advice cujoe - I've been wondering if there was something I wasn't doing right: I'll have to look into that compression thingie... (can you tell my computer skills are somewhat lacking... ;) ).
