Auburn never won a race. It isn't a bloated Miller like the Cord nor a oversized Indy and LeMans winner like Duesenberg. What it does have is a silence in the prisons. I learned about Auburn, Alabama at the U.S. Marshall's exhibit in Laramie, Wyoming. The similar rule in lumber camps presaged omerta. Having the render take one's breath away saves a lot of time in solitary or chained to a furnace.
