Description
Back in 1984, I took a trip to the Railway Museum in Swindon. One of the main features was the locomotive, City Of Truro'.
Whilst the locomotive was impressive in the museum, it was also rather sad to see it just sitting there but, happily, a month after I took this, it was removed and made ready for steaming again.
As far as I know, it is still doing the rounds of the various private lines.
I had a rather slow film in the camera at the time this shot was taken and, when I went to take the picture, I discovered that I'd forgotten to bring my flash gun and tripod.
I ended up hand-holding the camera at shutter speeds of one fifteenth of a second to get my pictures.
I was well pleased with the results and, after that, always tried available light shots with slow shutter speeds. Not all of them worked but, on the whole, I got reasonably good at it. :-)

I thought City Of Truro was just something made up on Thomas the Tank Engine. Now I know better. :) Great photo!

I have quite a nice shot of the loco itself (If memory serves me right). If I can find it, and get my scanner to work again, I'll have to post it here. :-)

this is a fantastic shot! I love the way you did it, the deepness of the gray shades as well as the light is impressive and reflcts well the power of this machine. A great great shot!!!! (btw, thanks for your comment on my last post "she knows". Wish you anice day, G.

Could almost be the perfect render, but it is a superb shot.
