sticking with the railroad theme, this is a covered version of a railroad watertower used to fill steam locomotives, you have seen them in many westerns, outlaws liked them as they hid up there till the train stopped and usually one (with gun drawn) slide down the chute and stuck up the startled engineer etc. etc. This one sits at Watertower Park in Barry's Bay ON

I don't see many of these any more. Not too many steam engines that need to cool down traveling the rails now. Good, clear shot.

I recall a movie about a prisoner of war camp and the man hid in the water tank for several days in freezing weather.in the Filipines, I went up and painted a tank very similar to this one out in a province as a favor to a family.the bad part all I had was cheap sandals and the rebar walkway killed my feet excellent capture of a bit of history
