Description

Ok this is not my type of rendering normally. I'm entering in a magazine contest so don't laugh too much. Thanks for the comments on the last page and hope to see you again.

Hey, I thought this was the next page of "Oblivion" - will you get back to work LOL Seriously, it's one cool magazine cover, or maybe more like the contents page. If I might one teensy bit of advice, it's often a good idea to turn figures' eyes a bit to the right or the left. Even the best-rendered Poser figures can't quite seem to completely lose the slight mannequin air they have about them, but moving the eyes, and turning/inclining the head, often gives them that extra little something that convinces one to see them as completely real. Letting at least one character look (mischievously) at the viewer was also a favorite dirty trick of the Old Masters to "pull in" the viewer. There's a fab example on the DAZ models homepage (http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/3d_models/0/-/?) - the hair on that image is not particularly real, the expression is rather lifeless, but the eyes and head tilt make it all come alive. Damn, I'm blabbering - over and out ;o)

It's always good to here from you thip. Yes I have no idea about lettering. Thanks for the advice. The blue background is from an up and coming page where david is thrown into a cyber world

Yeah the this is good cover idea but I would change a few things with the lettering. Not being mean here just honest the title should be larger. Would make it easy to been seen on a magazine rack. The 2 inset pictures should be on the right side making them a little smaller or maybe gone altogether. Because I'm thinking the barcode is going to go on the left side. I know it's for a contest but from the layout I've seen on magazine covers that's the best advice I can give you. Good luck in the contest and I look foward to your next page in the comic.

A tad too reflective on the inset images, but only minor. The title should always be foremost, ie: "Top Models" much larger and cropped behind the lead model's head to make her jump off the page. The other lettering can be placed as how the eye scans a document of how it subsequently reveals itself. Glowing font is good but it must be readable from a magazine rack from at least 6 feet away.
