Description
I used to take more photos than I do now and that's mostly because my camera seems to have grown flakier over time.
After the doggie-shoot yesterday I sat down at a picnic table in an open pavilion in the park and set my camera on the table in front of me. I saw this leaf just ahead of the camera and took this shot. And when I got home and looked at it on the pc it interested me. I mean it doesn't look anything like reality: the sky was blue not white (and not filled with orbs), the table was that dark-park-bench-green not chromatic-aberration-blue, BUT the leaf was indeed yellow.
Probably if the camera were any better this photo would be less interesting :-)
And now I'll leave you photo-folks alone and go back to fractalling (thanks though, for taking the time to look).

This is a great shot! Regardless of the colors you saw, the reflection of the leave on the table is stunning. I love it.

Cameras can do that, they don't see the world the same way we do. In any case this is a gorgeous still life with exceptional colour.

Aren't these the little things that make life such a surprising game sometimes? As Amota said: Great Shot!

I don't know enough about cameras to be able to tell how much was the camera and how much the photographer, but the end result is, imho, a great photo -- serendipity!
