All those months ago,
Began with
Mutual artistic admiration
And coincidental geography.
Who could have predicted
Friendship and connection?
Sometimes we meet people
Who are just the right shape,
Fill a hole in our soul.
Meeting you,
A missing puzzle piece
Clicked into
The landscape of my life.
Seeing you in person -
I suppose it
Could have been weird.
Turned out to be
Easy as pie,
Like falling off a log.
Like forever never happened.
It was good to see you, my friend.

I searched everywhere, and couldn't find the thing I saw about when to use the Photo Manipulation genre and when to use something else. So I'm posting this as a portrait, and fessing up. This picture was taken in a parking lot, and I switched the background.

Great capture! I love the way you've caught the impish twinkle in his eye, and as for the background, well...you pulled an excellent switch, though now I AM curious as to what the parking lot looked like. :-) The poem is an excellent compliment to the piece as well!
