Description

It's been over a month now but my heart is still very sad. I had to put down my sweet dear dog, Rex due to complications caused by Cancer of his Lymph Node Glands. He was a very beautiful dog who's love, loyalty and company I will always miss. He loved going for walks and for drives in the car, even on that day that I took him to the vet his head was out of the window like always. In the end I couldnt watch him suffer anymore, I made the difficult discision to take him to the vet. I must have cried my heart out countless times. When I looked into his eyes I could sense he was in much pain and when he cried I knew he was saying help me. At the vet I was left alone with him for a while. When he was on the operating table, I remember saying to him with tears flowing from my eyes "I love you so much, I'll never forget you... One day we will be together again and we will go for our long walks like we used to" I couldent watch the vet put him down, as I walked out the room he gave me one last cry... and then he was at peace. Goodbye my boy...

Beautyfull dog he was, I feel your pain, also had to have a few dog friends put down for age and illnesses! It is sad and a very emotional choice to make, but it is what is best to keep the poor animal from enduring anymore suffering!

One of THE hardest things to do in life is to get over the death of a pet, particularly and dog. Judging by the look in his eyes he enjoyed life while he was here and with you.

I am so sorry you have lost such a wonderful friend :( I had 3 shepherds and had to have my eldest put to sleep a couple of years ago, it was one of the most heartbreaking things I've ever had to do. Rex is very much like my boy Shadow, he was very ill recently and is 11 years old so I too am living in dread. hugs Angela
