Description

This is a conceptual design for a 3D challenge at another forum I visit. I have to decide if I want to make this into 3D or If I want to do some other mythological God/creature. I'll be posting the choices I've made, tell me which of them you think would be better in 3D.

I believe this one would look better, cuz of the muscles and stuff. You're an expert at organics.

I think the helmet wings look...welll...wimpy. What about horns? Didn't the vikings always have horns on their helmets? This guy is meant to be a God but he just doesn't inspire me to start sacrificing small furry animals to him....

Very interesting point. Perhaps there's a need to rework but first, I have a few more Gods and Monsters to sketch out. Who shall get the 3d treatment, I wonder?

Personally, I feel the "Wing'd Helmet" would work quite well, but rather than have them perpendicular to the helmet, have them run parallel, perhaps slightly angled forward and down towards the front. Just a thought. And only the Stereotypical Vikings had the horns, all kinds of ornamentation adorned the crest/base/whatever of the helmet.

I think that if you're going for god with this pic, the hammer should definitely be a lot bigger. He looks like a pretty formidable person but nor a very tough god. Also, I personally view thor as more "zues-like," meaning older, thick, powerful-santa beard :O), 8 feet tall and built like an ox. But then, that's just me.

For being a swede with roots in northern mythology, I love artworks of those gods. Great work!
