Description
I've seen so many various gryphon images out there merging various types of bird and cat. So when one of my friends announced a Flight of the Phoenix contest over at Elftown, I knew I had to enter and I knew just what I wanted to create for it. I call it a Gryphoex.
And so in June 2006, I started this image. I got to a point and then stared at the wings (not yet done yet, just base colors) and gave up and got distracted. Recently I decided to start working on her again. I'm glad I didn't finish her back then. I've learned new things since then and I think she looks much better now than she did when I last worked on her.
Sure, in another year I may wish I'd waited longer and know more then. But it was time to complete the picture, hehe.
