Description

Inspired by some of the entries in the light and shadow competition in the forum. These houses are beyond help. To the right is a path and next to that is nothing but a drop of approx 50m or 150ft in old money straight into the sea. I came here a couple of years ago and was surprised to see them still standing. Obviously no point in doing them up because maybe tomorrow or in a few years they will be gone. Hallsands Devon Another view can be seen at http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1403652&member Thanks for looking Thanks for the comments on yesterdays pic. edit: Auntietk This image is made up of two layers one in black and white which is then faded into the colour using a gradient mask. so you are correct the image on the left is black and white. Should have explained this and thanks for your interest. I did not consider this a photo manip as the original photo is untouched.

Love this image, just shows how powerless man is against nature, Brilliant POV and DOF, very well done!

This is great - really like the texture of the structure meets that soft touch of mother nature. Very nice frame mate:)

What a great shot! I particularly like the buildings in shadow (an almost-but-not-quite b&w feel) against the landscape in bright sunlight. Nice!!

This is a brilliant shot and I love your idea of merging a b&w and colour image together. Bravo!

Beautiful capture. It's too bad that they will soon be lost to the erosion of the sea. Great POV.

Nice work..do you answer PS questions off line? We have the same type of erosion situations here on the California coastline...

Don't ask why just praise the Lord. "I am the light of the world" "We are in the world but not of the world."
