Description

The massive metal frame of the Pentos'sha is the site of the largest known scrap yard. Little is known about the origin of this ancient 124km long wreck. A local salvage company maintains a recycling station near the center of the yard. The remains of hundreds of ships litter the area, with scavengers dropping off more regularly. It is estimated that to fully recycle all the metal at this site would take almost a thousand years. Scout vessels, specially designed to blend in with the junk, spend long hours drifting through the field, defending it from looting. ---- Modeling in Wings3D, Rendering in Kerkythea 2007, final composition in Paint Shop Pro.
