Description

We came across this gentleman whilst walking round the old fort at Galle in Sri Lanka. Of course, me being me, asked if I could take his photo. He duly obliged and didn't seem to mind at all and actually gave me a lovely toothy smile afterwards!! A stunning portrait. You can feel the years in the eyes and the weathering of the skin tells you he's had a hard life. Still, he appears strong-willed and able minded. Excellent shot.

A face is like a roadmap. I love faces that have a life to tell on them. His is a wonderful face and you've captured it beautifully in B&W.
